Honest Haloway
Honest Haloway

Honest Haloway began as a solo passion project helmed by songwriter Tim Kratzer in a bedroom in Washington DC in 2010. In the early stages, the music was nothing more than a creative outlet where he could convey his wordless evocations into a collection of songs without the intent or expectations to produce tangible outcomes, let alone see the stage.

By 2011, Kratzer had recorded and released his debut EP titled The Towns featuring five new synth heavy songs that contained remnants of his previous band, The Vita Ruins, but with a more lush and melodic sound and a deeper level of intimate song writing influenced by his personal life. He soon translated the music into live performances and took the songs to the stage where he played dozens of shows over the course of 2 years during which the project developed into a full band with a rotating group of local musician friends.

Kratzer embarked on a hiatus in 2013, but returned with the intention of crafting a follow up album and began leaping forward musically and conceptually. He drew inspiration from his travels and began further experimenting with ethereal effects and developing various production methods. The result was 2014’s Perigee, which proved to be a smooth departure from his previous work delineating a much brighter and cleaner dream pop effect to the otherwise lyrically melancholy songs.

After 2 EP’s, several years of performing and opening for larger acts, Honest Haloway has now evolved into a 5 member band consisting of D.C. music veterans, Fico Lazzaro-Colon and Ed Barnabas (both of Cedars, and Ms. Director), Greg Balleza (The Vita Ruins, Incredible Change) & Paul Burgess (Hot Hymns). The band is now working on recording their first full-length album. Together, the members have progressed and redefined the band’s essence by each bringing their own unique stamp to the guitar heavy songs on the new album, which are noticeably darker and more transient than those of previous works. Honest Haloway’s third album is set to be out in 2018.
Joseph & The Beasts
Joseph & The Beasts

Springing from the edge of the eclectic Baltimore music scene and the mind of multi-instrumentalist, Joseph Mulhollen, Joseph & the Beasts traffic in counter-rhythms that build from muted whispers to fevered crescendos. As Baltimore Magazine recently noted, the group puts out anthems of songs that "make you want to seize the day." Joseph & the Beasts' full-length album, "Gold Light" is out now.
Incredible Change
Incredible Change

Incredible Change brings you synth-laden wizardry for your dancing feet. Channeling voices from your head and then incredibly singing them out loud, as if they are reading your mind. Influenced by Italian house and early Factory Records, Incredible Change moves your body. Within Incredible Change are narratives, energy flowing songs, syncopated rhythms, and a quasi-secret ingredient - chorus-drenched guitar (no longer a secret). This sonic advent calendar contains Brock Boss (form. Ra Ra Rasputin), Aiva, Greg Balleza (form. Vita Ruins), and Ken Quam (form. Ra Ra Rasputin).

After meeting at a lawn mower repairman convention, each member discovered they had a previous freon addiction they had each incredibly overcome. They thus began Incredible Change and went on to win the Myspace Ultimate Myspace Band Challenge © in 2020, only to travel back in time to this incredible year in order to elicit kinetic vibrations and "spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings" that you can channel into your Aether!
"Incredible Change manages to find the perfect balance between nostalgia and self-aware fun"

-Chris

The songwriting process usually begins with Brock and a handful of polyhedral dice. He first rolls them onto a bamboo mat, working backwards through each section of the song he jots down the numbers into a notebook with a #2 pencil. There he matches the numbers to lines of various Shakespeare plays, and then begins the experimentation, converting them to lyrical fortune-telling, just for you. From their epic video, Ecce Mono, to their latest vibe, Halo Curse, they will bring all that they know to this alternate universe that we are now in.

Incredible Change does not shy away from a performance, instead we embrace the incredible audience and the show. Join us on our (*insert echo effect* ) Quest for Incredible Change!
