All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges unless a show is cancelled.

  • Are tickets transferrable?

All tickets are non-transferable until 72 hours prior to the show time.

  • I have a condition / injury / handicap that requires special consideration. Is 9:30 Club handicap accessible? How do request accommodations?

We’re happy to assist with your accessibility needs – including but not limited to seating and ASL interpreters. To easiest/quickest way to request accommodations is to complete this form, or you can call our box office.

BOX OFFICE: The box office accepts all the major credit and debit cards.

CONCESSIONS: The bars, coffee bar, and the Food Food stand accept major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Rooam (see next question for more info on Rooam).

MERCH: Merch accepts major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

  • What is Rooam?

Rooam is a web-based payment platform that lets you pay your bar tab from your phone. Just visit this link, enter your phone number and the subsequent verification code, and select your payment method. Voila! Your tab is open!

Order with the bartender and give them your Rooam tab number. Your tab will now be visible on screen. Once the show has ended and you’re ready to go, simply press ‘Close Tab’ and your tab has been paid with your selected payment method.

  • How old do you have to be to attend shows at 9:30?

Unless otherwise posted, our club is all ages, all the time.

  • My child wants to attend an all ages show at 9:30, but I feel nervous.

We’ve been doing all ages shows for many years, but the decision to let your child come to a show here is obviously up to you as a parent. We suggest attending a show with your child so you can get a first-hand experience of how we run the club and treat our patrons. We’re confident that once you’ve been here you’ll feel comfortable about allowing your child to come to 9:30 shows.

  • Do I need my ID to enter the venue?

A physical ID is required if you plan on drinking/purchasing alcohol. Because we are an all-ages venue we take checking IDs very seriously. In compliance with DC laws anyone 21 and older who plans on drinking alcohol will have to show a physical, valid, non-expired, government issued photo ID, no matter how old you think you may look. Anyone without a proper physical ID, regardless of age, will be treated as under 21 and will not allowed to buy, hold or drink alcohol. This policy is strictly enforced and any violation will result in immediate ejection from the venue.

  • Does 9:30 Club have seats?

Unless a show is advertised as seated, which is rare, our shows are general admission and standing room only. A very small number of bar stools are available on a first-come, first-serve basis in the balcony. Patrons with special needs should call 202.265.0930 in advance to make arrangements.

  • What time should I get there to get a good place to see the show?

We like to think that there are no bad sight lines in the club, but if you’re one of those folks who wants to be right up front or along the balcony railing we suggest you be in line before doors open. Keep in mind that no matter how early you line up there may already be people ahead of you in line and you are not guaranteed any particular spots inside.

  • Can I camp out overnight to get a good spot in line?

We know you’re super excited for the show (we are too!), but we highly discourage camping out overnight. 9:30 Club is not responsible for any issues that may occur when camping and reserve the right to deny entry to folks camped out overnight.

We encourage line ups to begin no earlier than 10:00 AM, also keeping in mind that standing outside all day may impact your ability to safely attend the show. While we understand the excitement and wanting to get the best place possible in the crowd, we often see that being in line too long may translate into health issues that prevent patrons from being able to stay for the duration of the show and enjoy it, so we ask that people be mindful to eat, hydrate and rest during the day.

  • Does the Club offer food?

We sure do! We have a variety of tacos, quesadillas, and salad bowls available at the ‘Food Food’ stand on the lower level. Because who doesn’t love tacos?!?

  • How about drinks?

We have 4 full bars located within the club offering a terrific selection of both draft and bottled beers along with your favorite spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. The club also offers a coffee bar with a delicious assortment of caffeine-fueled fun.

  • Can I bring a bag into the venue?

We would prefer that you leave bags at home, but if you must bring your bag, it will be searched and we may ask you to check it in the coat room depending on the size.
